Thunder From Heaven seek to accurately portray the the combat soldier in WW2. It is our way of honouring these brave men during that conflict. So it is with great pride that we acknowledge the words of encouragement and gratitude from those veterans who have supported our group. Here are a few of their quotes;
"I was delighted to hear of you "British Geronimos", who are doing so much to keep alive the memories and importance of the warriors of freedom during WW2. Your pictures of you in war regalia were a delight, not only that you saw fit to memorialize the great 501 P.I.R, but that you had obviously studied and accurately replicated the people of my day. You look great".

"Each time that I have the pleasure of accessing the Thunder From Heaven website I am taken back to my days with Easy company. Not only is it extremely well done, but it is truly accurate in every respect. It is mandatory that we maintain a record of what was done during those fateful days when our freedom, even our very existence was in jeopardy. To keep alive the memories must be our goal. Those of us who went through those terrible days must indeed thank you for putting together a lasting record of those times so that everyone who views them will be able to say, thats the way it really was".
Ed Pepping (One of the four original Easy Company medics)
Easy Company, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment
"As part of Pattons Third Armys 10th Armoured Division and Combat Command B for the Bulge operation, myself and our Armoured Field Artillery Battalion, the 420th, spent a wintry month (17th December-17 January 1945) defending Bastogne. I found they were not only writers, but also re-enactors, so we veterans were happy to mentally turn back our clocks to pass our experiences to this generations uniformed combat soldiers! We hope their writings and acting will help todays population visualize what the winter of 44-45 was like. It has been a pleasure to respond to their queries and I hope add to their knowledge, and this in turn is passed on to the citizens of today! How lucky I was when their names were given to this old soldier! As a graduate of our Military Academy at West Point, and thus a "Regular Army Officer", I served 36 years under the Flag in 5 Pentagon tours, 3 Cold War tours in Germany, once in Korea and later to Vietnam, before retiring in 1978. The "military high light" was my 3 years in WWII with the 420th Armoured Field Artillery".
Major-General Willis Crittenberger
